Veterinary Technicians
Cassie
Cassie has always loved animals and knew she wanted to work with them from a young age. She got her veterinary assistant certificate from CSM and started working at TVH as a tech in 2012. Growing up with cats she admits she’s a bit more of a cat person but loves getting to work with all the different species that walk through the door. Cassie married her husband Glen in 2019, they have 2 sons Levi and Chase and a cat Tina.
Jamey
Jamey has been a technician since 2002 and started at Tidewater in 2015. After years of working in the field, she got her license as a Veterinary Technician in 2024. Her love of animals extends beyond work; her husband and she have a farm with dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens. When not at work she enjoys horseback riding with her daughter and watching her son play football.
Kylie
Kylie started at Tidewater in July 2020. She brings with her a passion for animals that she has had since she was young. This job allows her to learn more, as she wants to eventually become a veterinarian herself. She relaxes by visiting the farm and grooming her horse. She likes to trail ride when it is nice outside while listening to music on her phone. Sometimes she even enjoys reading a book. Kylie also loves her 2 young labs and takes them out for drives whenever she can.
Christina
Christina has been very passionate about animals since she was a young girl. She joined Tidewater in December 2020. She currently has two Labrador retrievers. Her male, Gunner, is 7 years old and Hershey, her female is 4 years old. Christina started her veterinary career in July of 2013 in rescue medicine and is now enjoying life at our mixed practice. In 2016, she received her Veterinary Assistant Certification at the College of Southern Maryland.
Shaina
Shaina started with Tidewater April 2022. Shaina has lived in Southern Maryland all her life. She has been riding horses since she was six years old, has had dogs her whole life, and has bottle raised 4 goats from the day they were born. She enjoys spending time with her animals and playing polocrosse. She aspires to become a veterinarian herself in the future.
Haley
Haley joined the Tidewater Team in October of 2021. She grew up around dogs, cats, goats, horses, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits … a lot of animals. Her family has been a long-term client at Tidewater and through the years she has come to every visit. Haley has always had an interest in animal medicine and with a desire to help provide the best care for animals, she started working with animals when she was 13 years old. In her free time, Haley enjoys horseback riding, fishing, archery and camping, and spending time with family, friends and her cat, Salem.
Sierra
Sierra started with Tidewater in September of 2023. When she was a little girl she would help animals from birds that fell too far from the nest, to little worms used to cast out your fishing line. At least any worms not used for fishing were buried safely in the dirt! Sierra plans to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine and is currently finishing up with her first 2 years of college. Her original plans to be a people doctor were thwarted by the scaly, furry, slimy, and hard shelled animals that continuously steal her heart.
Caroline
Caroline joined Tidewater in October of 2022 where she continues doing what she loves, making a difference in the lives of patients and clients. Caroline attended the Veterinary Technician Program at YTI Career Institute in York, PA and is a credentialed Registered Veterinary Technician. She is owned by her dog, Helen and her rabbit, Spirit. For fun Caroline enjoys horseback riding, hiking and quilting .
Chris
Chris joined Tidewater in April 2023 with a heart that has always gravitated towards animals. He has explored various options in education and employment including Graphic Design, welding and currently holds a CDL license. Chris’s experience with animals, other than his own, began in 2015 working with rescue organizations. He entered the veterinary world in 2018. His true passion is the larger breed dogs, especially those that can present themselves as a challenge. He enjoys the challenge of trying to understand animals and overcoming the barriers to bring trust between clients’ pets and himself. He has two dogs and a cat of his own.
Parenting three boys has magnified Chris’s commitment to teaching empathy and respect to the next generation of young minds everywhere. His desire is that they will believe in themselves and make positive changes in the world. His spare time is spent with his family.
Megan
Megan joined the Tidewater Tech Team in June of 2023. Her family moved to Hughesville in the fall of 2020 after living in Waldorf for nearly 15 years. They share their home with three dogs, four cats, a frog, a snake, and a fish. Megan graduated from the University of Mary Washington in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology, minoring in Math, and hopes to go to veterinary school in the future. In her spare time she likes to listen to music, go to concerts, play video games and read.
Kayla
Kayla joined the Tidewater Technician Team at Tidewater Veterinary Hospital in November of 2023 and brings a few years experience from other veterinary hospitals. She greatly enjoys learning new things, helping on interesting cases and educating clients -especially at a puppy’s first visit! Kayla has a BA in History with a concentration in Public History from Bridgewater College. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies and cosmetics. Kayla has one dog named Chewy and three cats named Rusty, Nami and Little Bit. She looks forward to meeting your fur babies too!
Lyndsay
I’ve always had a passion for animals since I was very young. I did just recently graduate farrier school, but I have thought about becoming a veterinarian.. When I do have time to relax, I like to go fishing, horseback riding, and hanging out on the beach.
Courtney
Courtney joined Team Tidewater in August 2024. She has 1 dog named Bleu. She’s a German shepherd mix. Courtney has had a love and passion for animals since she was 16 years old. Courtney is currently enrolled in unity college studying animal science with a concentration in marine biology, and previously worked at an animal ER. In Courtney’s free time she plays softball and if she’s not at work or on the ball field, she is watching football or baseball/softball games.
Brie
Brie joined our Tidewater team in October of 2024. Growing up in a home full of pets, her passion for helping animals began when she was a little girl. Her dreams of working with animals grew while dog sitting throughout high school. Brie attended the University of Tampa for one year, where she majored in Pre-Veterinary Biology before returning home to complete her Associates Degree at the College of Southern Maryland in August of 2024. She intends to continue her education and veterinary career to pursue animal rehab. In her free time, Brie likes playing with her hamster- Natty, the beach, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
Veterinary Pharmacy Technicians
Stashia
Stashia joined Tidewater in March of 2019 as a Client Care Coordinator and in 2023 moved to our Pharmacy Technician Team. She has a few dogs…SIX! When not at work, Stashia enjoys playing softball, spending time with her family, visiting museums and taking day trips to explore new locations.
Lois
Lois joined the Tidewater Team in October 2021 as a Client Care Coordinator and in 2023 transitioned to the Pharmacy Team. She is a Retired Navy Veteran with an administrative background. Lois has always had a love of animals, especially cats. She currently has 3 cats, 2 dogs and 6 chickens. Lois enjoys traveling with her adult sons and loves visiting our National Parks.
Marty
Marty joined the staff at Tidewater Veterinary Hospital in November of 2020. Her heart’s passion is for wildlife rehabilitation. Currently Marty keeps a husband, adult children, a cat, dogs, ducks and chickens at home.
Molly
Molly started her veterinary career with Tidewater in November 2023 as a pharmacy technician. She hopes to help grow and innovate the pharmacy department with her team mates. She was born and raised in St. Mary’s county and now lives with her fiancé and her soul-kitty, Yuki. Her goal is to one day have a self-sustaining homestead to support her family, along with some highland cows and donkeys, and plenty of cats.
Kylee
Kylee recently moved from San Diego, California. The military has had her move to four different states. She has been a veterinary assistant for almost three years, and started as a client-service representative, where she found her passion in the veterinary field. Her husband and Kylee are proud parents of two crazy cats, who have traveled across the country with them. In her off time, she enjoys fishing, taking my jeep off-roading, and watching horror movies!

Lorri
Lorri joined the Tidewater team in December of 2023. She has always been passionate about animals, and has been working in the veterinary industry for over 10 years. In her down time, Lorri likes to spend time with her family, friends and grand dogs, as well as visit her horse for grooming and treats.
